✅ The 3 Simple Steps to Perfect Fit

1. Clean Nails are Key
* Start with completely bare, natural nails (no polish, no gel).
* Why? Residue can cause inaccurate sizing.
2. Size Each Finger Individually
* Test all 10 nails on both your left and right hand (sizes may vary).
* Hold the sample correctly: The rounded, thinner edge (printed with the size) must face your cuticle.
🔎 How to Check the Fit
Perfect Fit—Feels snug from sidewall to sidewall with light pressure.
Too Tight—Feels uncomfortable or painful.

Too Loose—The nail "floats" and does not hug your natural nail.

💡 Pro Tip: When in doubt, ALWAYS choose the LARGER size. You can easily file the sides of the press-on upon arrival for a seamless custom fit.
3. Record Your 10 Sizes

How to Apply Your Press-On Nails

1. Clean Hands & Nails

*Thoroughly wash hands using antibacterial soap and a nail brush.

*Scrub well to remove all lotion, oils, or dirt from under and on top of your natural nails.

2. Prep Natural & Press-On Nails

*Etch the Underside of the Press-On: Lightly file the back of the press-on or use Apres' Prep chemical etching solution.

*Prep Natural Nail: Trim excess length and lightly buff the surface until there is no shine.

*Prep Cuticles: Gently lift up cuticle skin and clear away any debris. The full cuticle should not be attached to the nail but hovering above the nail to create a little pocket to slide the press on into slightly (this creates a natural looking application).

3. Clean & Dehydrate

*Dust Off: Use a dust brush to remove any debris.

*Clean: Follow with an alcohol pad. Wait for nails to completely dry before proceeding.

*Dehydrate: Carefully apply nail dehydrator solution to the natural nail surface (avoiding skin).

*Prime: Once the dehydrator is dry, apply a coat of nail primer (it will look shiny and tacky). Do not wait for primer to dry.

💡Pro Tip: For extra security, apply a coat of base coat after priming, then clean again with alcohol. It helps prevent “greenies”.

4. Glue & Apply

*Apply Glue to Natural Nail: Using Makartt Brush-On Glue, quickly brush a thin layer on your natural nail. Avoid the perimeter/touching your skin.

*Apply Glue to Press-On: Also apply one drop of glue to the back of the press-on nail. (The amount of glue needed varies; practice makes perfect!)

*Position: Gently apply the press-on nail, carefully laying it down from the cuticle base to the tip.

*Align: Make sure the press-on is straight. Quickly adjust its position if needed.

*Hold: Press and hold the nail down for 20–30 seconds, making sure to press out any trapped air. Softly wiggling the pressure over your finger while holding it helps adhere all sides.

✨ Final Care✨

Avoid oils, lotions, or water for at least one hour after application. Don't forget to apply cuticle oil often (after the first 24 hours).

How to Safely Remove Press-On Nails

1. Apply the Remover

*Using the brush on the Makartt remover bottle, start applying the solution around the cuticle line, especially where the press-on nail may be slightly lifting.

*Try to get the remover between the press-on and your natural nail.

*You can also brush the remover underneath your fingertip, along the free edge of the press-on.

2.Gently Pry

*Take an orange stick and gently start prying up the edge of the press-on.

*DO NOT FORCE IT or cause any pain.

*You can use the end of the orange stick to help coax the remover further under the nail.

3. Wait and Repeat

*Allow the remover 5 to 10 seconds to dissolve the glue it has contacted.

*Keep applying the remover and gently coaxing it under the press-on until the nail comes off easily.

*This may take several applications of remover. Give 5–10 seconds in between each layer for the remover to work.

🛑 Remember: The key is patience. Never force the nail off, as this can damage your natural nails.
